Paul Marks at Samizdata has a sanguine outlook for a Castro-free Cuba. He lists her economic assets and quotes a Castro speech that claims he will not accept EU aid. Taken together, things do not look too good for the murderous thug.
It is ironic that such an important source of income for Cuba (perhaps more important than tourism) is from people in the United States sending money back to their families.A regime that depends on the population being supported by people living in the 'great enemy' can hardly be considered a strong one.
