¡SOMOS TODOS LOS ESPAÑOLES!

Thanks to Johngalt for the translation of "We are all Spaniards!"

Spain has proudly stood by our side to fight terrorism and has paid an extreme cost for their courage and bravery. We salute you (and those of us who are not atheists pray for you).

¡SOMOS TODOS LOS ESPAÑOLES!

I understand "un poco del español" but I had to resort to the AltaVista translation page for this one. (babelfish.altavista.com)

As the WSJ said this morning, "So much for the illusion that the global war on terror isn't really a war."

Those of us who ARE atheistic understand that Spain, under the leadership of Jose Maria Aznar, fights with conviction against militant Islamic theocrats who are a threat to every freedom-loving person on earth and not just the "imperialist-zionist coalition" (as the French and North Koreans apparently believe).

Spaniards should take comfort at this grievous time that they are allied in this war with the greatest powers on earth - The United States of America and the selfish idea of individual liberty that, when finally roused to defend itself is absolutely indomitable.

I saw this banner hung at the Madrid bombing site: "LA MUERTE NO ACALLARA NUESTRA VOZ" translation: The death did not silence our voice. Indeed.

Well said, sir. Well said.

What a difference three days makes! From reluctant but principled defender of freedom and liberty to caper eating surrender monkeys.

Apparently the majority of voting Spaniards have a different interpretation of "the death did not silence our voice" than we did. Their guiding motto seems to be "La muerte nos ha hecho entrega."*

*The death has made us surrender.
